Quarantine Through my Eyes

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first blog. This is my first time so please pardon the mistakes :) Hope everyone of you and your family is doing well ! How typical of human behavior that a few months back what we all wanted was a break from this monotonous lifestyle and now that we are actually getting a good long break we are dying to return to our actual routine :)) Maybe some of you are very eager and anxious to return to your school, college, office, workplace and maybe some of you are like me who are actually liking this holiday. That number is way too less when compared to the ones waiting for this quarantine period to get over maybe. But for me this quarantine period has been an unprecedented boon. No, I'm not going to brag about how much I could read or create some art or study all the pending chapters of our syllabus. These  days at home have been the least productive materialistically but haven't gone as a complete waste either. I got a break which I was waiting for so so long! I mean, getting into college at such young age that too a college with such a huge exposure as JU has been quite overwhelming.

I have been able to gift myself a whole lot of time. I have been able to gift myself some old classic music, some forgotten Bollywood masterpieces, some reading, some time to get back to sketching, a bit more mature outlook towards life and also a better sense of humor ;) I have been thinking a lot lately. On random things of this world. Like yesterday evening, I was standing in the balcony of my apartment and saw so many crows quietly sitting on the telephone and electricity cables. There was a huge period of  time when crows were slowly getting less in number apparently but the virus ceasing the human civilization has helped the entire 'non-human' world. What has affected us most is the mental distance we have developed with nature and other humans when not being in Quarantine. Like when was the last time you were talking to the flowers or small plants by the sidewalk while walking down to school? Seems way too romantic, right? That's where the problem lies. We as humans, the most intelligent species on Earth (atleast) have lost this ability to fantasize with nature. Our neurons are losing their mobility as they are just stuck within those 6" or 15" screens. We are not being able to be in touch with nature, with our surroundings, with our ambience and with ourselves. Unlike those two men who live in a 18' × 2' boat who earn their living by fishing and talk to the river all day...let me just remind you of a song called "Majhi re" by Shaan so that your subconscious mind can hum that :) So, I will end this with a bit of shaayari skills I've developed during this quarantine ;) ....

Do tell how it was and thanks for your time out here. Hope you enjoyed !
